Tomorrow I am racing Ironman Austria.

I think the combination of the electric European “Supa” fans along with the unparalleled beauty of this course are going to yield a great result! But, like all other Ironmans, I know there will be some tough times out there.

It’s been a dream of mine to come and race in Europe. Part of the reason I am racing in Austria is fueled by my Grandpa Norm. My Grandpa was raised in Vienna and I know he would have been so proud to know that I am here racing in Austria. It’s been nearly a year since he passed away, and one of many lessons he taught our family is to be relentless, be proud, and to never give up.

I can’t help but hope to shine a bit in his honor tomorrow.
