Wednesday = sponsor day for most pro athletes here in Kona.

This really means, get in and get out. Make everyone happy, have some fun, see your friends & sponsors, but stay hydrated and off your feet. Someone joked to me a few days ago about how it gets so hot in the expo that they were once reduced to sitting in the car with the A/C on to cool for 10 minutes. I laughed.

The day started with a quick Ironman interview, then Team Corbin launched into Operation Rolling Duffel. Chris coined this term from his trusty co-horts at Big Sky Brew. What they do is roll through expo's with a duffel full of beer and make people's day. Sounded like fun to me!

We made many of my sponsors and industry people smile. I got to catch up with all sorts of Iron-people. Before I knew it though, I was sweating. My legs were even sweating. I thought I was supposed to be acclimatized??!! All those tents packed onto humid grass leaves little room for the ocean breeze. Next thing I did was head straight to the A/C in the car for a 10 minute break.

Back in action I rounded out the afternoon with Saucony, Zipp, and Lifesport. Followed by a nap. Now I am headed to dinner.

Thanks for checking in. Until tomorrow....
